Where disciplines connect.

A space for clinicians navigating the intersection of medicine, technology, and systems change.

Medicine isn't broken, but it is changing course, the way a river does when the ground shifts underneath it. The channels that once ran together, the science of the body and the art of the encounter, have been drifting apart for decades, and AI is widening that gap faster than most of us expected. Anastomosis is where those channels rejoin. It's a space for clinicians who want to bring what they've learned at the bedside into the rooms where healthcare AI is being designed. If that sounds like you, you're welcome here.

Anastomosis was started by Chethan Sarabu, a pediatrician, landscape architect, and clinical informatician who has spent most of his career working where those fields meet, and who has come to believe that's where the most meaningful breakthroughs in medicine tend to happen.

Physician. Landscape architect. Clinical informatician.

Anastomosis was started by Chethan Sarabu, whose work begins from a simple conviction: the most meaningful breakthroughs in medicine happen at the edges of disciplines, not at their centers.
